Maruti Ram Gudavalli, a yoga teacher and graduate of the BLTT, is bringing the 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention® to life for older adults through free community workshops.

In April, Dr. Gudavalli led a two‑day Brain Longevity® Workshop at the Lake Nona senior living community in Florida, with 34 participants on Saturday and around 50 on Sunday. Each two‑hour session walked through the 4 Pillars – diet and supplements, stress management, exercise, and spiritual fitness – and he wove in practical tools like simple yoga postures, healthy‑eating guidance, and stress‑reduction strategies. Every session ended with an introduction to Kirtan Kriya meditation, which participants practiced together and received as part of their take‑home toolkit.

The response was enthusiastic. Attendees especially liked learning how lifestyle changes can support brain health, as well as the research behind Kirtan Kriya and its role in Alzheimer’s prevention. Many shared how much they enjoyed the 4 Pillars framework, the focus on stress management, and the accessible nature of the meditation. The workshops were offered at no cost, and everyone received ARPF’s 4 Pillars brochure, along with an invitation to support ARPF’s ongoing prevention work.

Dr. Gudavalli’s momentum isn’t slowing down. He has since launched one-hour Brain Longevity presentations across Palm Beach County libraries, earning immediate invitations from staff to return for recurring sessions. Beyond the public impact, Dr. Gudavalli has experienced his own benefits: he notes that incorporating these tools has enhanced his sleep quality.

Dr. Gudavalli’s journey is a profound example of how BLTT graduates act as vital conduits of hope, bringing life-changing skills directly to the populations that need them most.
