Today, Representatives Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Chellie Pingree (D-ME) introduced the Paraquat Prevention Act<\/em><\/strong>, federal legislation aimed at banning the use of paraquat, a widely used pesticide linked in studies to an increased risk of Parkinson\u2019s disease. The legislation represents an urgent step to protect farm workers, rural communities, and others who may live or work near areas where paraquat is sprayed.
