A few years ago, I had a really bad attack of vertigo that landed me in the E.R. \u2013 I was pretty sick!<\/p>\n
The E.R. doc came in and began asking me about all my symptoms. Then he said something that has stuck with me and has more relevance today. \u201cLet me ask Dr. Google.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n
I was too out of it to laugh, but now that I think about it, it\u2019s pretty weird.<\/p>\n
Here is a person with 12 years of higher education and a board-certified emergency medicine physician asking a computer to make the diagnosis. It wasn\u2019t even a hard case, mind you. Just a run-of-the-mill bad case of vertigo.<\/p>\n
Anyway, the doctor gave me some anti-vertigo medication, which helped a lot. It quieted me down quite a bit, and as one of the nurses said, \u201cYou\u2019re back.\u201d<\/p>\n
They got a CAT scan anyway to make sure I wasn\u2019t having a stroke because that\u2019s protocol; they hydrated me and sent me \u201ca la casa.\u201d<\/p>\n
Today I read an article in the NY Times<\/em> that revealed that one of those multi-billionaire tech bros in Silicon Valley said AI will absolutely replace doctors.<\/p>\n To quote him directly, \u201cSay goodbye to doctors.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n He also said that 1 doctor will be able to supervise 10 AI assistants.<\/p>\n Well at least there will be some humans involved in your care, although quite frankly, the way some doctors are so unengaged that it may be an improvement.<\/p>\n One friend of mine recently said, \u201cMy doctor is nothing but a lab reader.\u201d Lots of folks agree.<\/p>\n In this age of heavy-duty AI, with the airwaves now being saturated with tech CEOs like Sam Altman and others saying, \u201cHey, we must slow down. If we\u2019re not careful, AI can go rogue and cause the extinction of humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n Beyond that, one group is saying, \u201cIt\u2019s a hoax,\u201d while the others are sounding the alarm.<\/p>\n I believe that the cure for all of this is to put AI aside for the moment and work on the development of our own innate authentic intelligence, what I call AI2.<\/strong><\/p>\n When you tune into your higher and best self through yoga, Kirtan Kriya, being in nature, serving others, and just allowing yourself to be present in the moment, you tune into your soul.<\/p>\n And that is where you find your authentic divine self.<\/p>\n AI ain\u2019t a guru or a guide.
