We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Hennell Award<\/a> for 2026 is the Namaste Team from The Grove Care Home, owned by Country Court Care<\/a>. Namaste Care is a gentle, person-led approach to care which involves meaningful touch, a calm, peaceful environment, sensory stimulation and unhurried one-to-one time. Its benefits include improved quality of life, reduced anxiety, distress and agitation, and increased comfort, relaxation and dignity. After attending our Namaste Care short course<\/a> the team, led by Home Manager Kelly Lofts, implemented Namaste Care in their home.<\/p>\n

Judges praised the team\u2019s collaborative approach, family involvement and the positive impact on colleagues. Kelly was also recognised for her inspiring leadership, supporting the team through training and coaching to embed Namaste Care across the home.<\/p>\n

Our care team have fully engaged with the Namaste Care approach, finding increased fulfilment in their job roles by being given the opportunity to take a slower approach with residents.
