Learn more about Namaste Care

We’ve talked about our Namaste Care short course in a few previous blog posts (see Short courses, Namaste Care course – what next? and Exciting new Namaste Care project), and are pleased to say that we’ve now run it five times. We’ve got a new iteration of the course starting in late August, so we thought we’d better let you know about it!

It’s a fully online 10-week course covering different aspects of Namaste Care, and it contains various activities for participants to work through in their own time before bringing everyone together once a fortnight to discuss what they’ve learned, and whether they’ve managed to put their learning into practice between sessions.

The course has been well received by previous participants, helping them to understand more about how to provide Namaste Care, as well as sharing “useful knowledge and practical ideas” for participants to incorporate into their own practice.

If this sounds like the sort of course you’d be interested in, you can have a look at our flyer to find out more and contact us at dementia@worc.ac.uk to register your interest or book a place. If you can’t make the August course, still get in touch and we’ll let you know future dates as they are organised. We’re also open to facilitating a course specifically for an organisation if you’ve got a group of staff who want to attend, so plenty of options are available.

Maybe we’ll see some of you on the next course…
